Here at TCCC, we believe the Christian faith is not meant to be lived out alone. And small groups is a key part of helping us become the people God intends for us to be. At this time, as we look to launch small groups for the next season, I believe coming in with a grace-filled and hospitable attitude will serve one another best. Small groups are a place to anchor in on some regular rhythms with a specific group of people who want to work out and walk out their faith together.
What are TCCC small groups?
TCCC small groups are typically made up of 8-12 adults who worship regularly at TCCC. Each group meets at least twice a month to support one another in their discipleship with Christ.
This small groups season will run from September 2020 - July 2021. As of this writing, each group will meet digitally to be considerate of our responsibility for health of the community.
Whether or not the groups will meet in person this season will be updated as the situation allows and as weather permits.
What can I expect from this season of small groups?
Although there will be different groups with varying demographics and frequency, there are two elements that will help structure every TCCC small group for the 2020/2021 season.
The first is working through the short book by Christian martyr Dietrich Bonhoeffer entitled, Life Together.
And secondly, an ongoing exploration and practice of spiritual disciplines/exercises.
Beyond those two things, how each group will spend their time is up to the leader and the members to discern. The rest of the meetings will be spent in ways so that each member of the group will be supported in their ongoing discipleship to Christ and growth as a leader.
