Prayer

English Congregation -

Please pray that God will give us the means to bring in food for our Food Drive to share with our community. Praise God for Food Banks that are supporting these communities. Pray for their safety and health as we battle with the unexpected snowfall.

Cantonese Congregation -

Please pray for the many seniors who can only join us online. Pray that God will provide ways for them to experience community and fellowship.

105 Gibson Centre -

Praise God that Phase 3 work is nearing completion, with a few items pending to apply for the occupation permit. Meanwhile, we are planning to organize an opening ceremony in conjunction with our 11th Anniversary on Saturday, October 5th, to celebrate with all TCCC brothers and sisters and to reach out to the community. Please mark your calendars accordingly and continue to pray that the remaining items will be sorted out and the occupation permit will be granted soon.

Easter Food Drive - The English Congregation will be having a Food Drive in collaboration with 105 Gibson Centre! Collection will take place TODAY, March 24th and next Sunday, March 31st - You are encouraged to bring the following non-perishable food times:

  • Canned meat (luncheon meat, flaked chicken/ham)
  • Canned fish (tuna, salmon, sardine)
  • Oatmeal
  • Nut-free School snacks (granola bars, etc.)
  • Cookies/crackers
  • Instant noodles

Serving Opportunities

English Worship Ministry is looking for people who love God and love to lead people to encounter Him through music or Audio/Visuals as part of our Sunday gatherings; in particular: drums, cajon, and visuals. Please contact Rev. Glendon if you are interested!

What's Happening Today

Oasis Cafe Updates - In efforts to be more environmentally-friendly, you are encouraged to start bringing your own reusable mug/thermos when you come by after service for your hot beverage!


Additionally: For safety reasons, in order to be served beverages, parents must accompany their kids when coming up to the Oasis window.

Church Administrative Department Announcements:

1. To maintain church cleanliness, if you need to eat in the kitchen, please be attentive to cleaning up leftover food scraps. Try to avoid leaving food in the kitchen to prevent hygiene issues.


2. The church has identified items left behind by fellow brothers and sisters. If needed, please go to the “Lost & Found” location near the nursery to claim them.


3. The church currently provides disinfectant hand sanitizer and disinfectant tissues. Church members are welcome to obtain them for free at the church reception.


4. There are four parking spaces in front of the church entrance reserved for the use of the pastor and speakers during Sunday worship. Kindly be mindful of this arrangement.

High School CE has begun! Join us in Room 306 from 11:15 a.m. -12:15 p.m. It will be led by Crystal Pang and Wilson Ho. We will be having a post-sermon discussion class, where we do a deep dive into each Sunday sermon and its accompanying passage. We will also be discussing all the questions that come up and explore how each week's biblical principles into our daily lives. Classes will run until April 28th.

ReFrame Christian Education (CE) Class has started! Join us in Room 308 from 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.! It will be led by Peter Pun.


Created by Regent College Marketplace Institute, ReFrame is relevant for those just starting their careers to those later on in life in seeing how faith is applied to life. This course equips Christians from all areas of life—scientists, artists, homemakers, politicians, custodians, engineers, farmers, everyone—to make this connection. The goal of ReFrame is to help Christians see the gospel with fresh eyes and experience the renewing power of Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives.


Classes will run until April 21st.

Children's Ministry

Children's Sunday school teaching is available (for non-Awana kids from Preschool to grade 8) during the 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. period. The biblical content for this timeslot is different from the English Children Church teaching. There will be three classes available (please follow the signage posted (2nd floor) for the grade level and classroom).

Preschool to Grade 8 children can join us for in-person worship every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. There will be no need for pre-registration. Parents can proceed to the second floor reception area to check-in and pick-up their children before (9:30 a.m.) and after (11:00 a.m.) the English Service.


The nursery is available during our English service for new parents and infants to use on a self-serve basis, but are more than welcome to join us in the sanctuary as well.  

 

If you have children (2 to 3 years old), they are welcome to join the Children’s Ministry pre-school class. If you are interested in being a part of the preschool teaching staff, please contact Pastor Wesley Lim.

The Tree Planting Day fundraising event will be held on Saturday, May 4th at Phyllis Rawlinson Park. Funds raised will go towards supporting our expanding health services. ACEM

1. The Association of Christian Evangelical Ministries (Canada) is recruiting a full-time Ministry Coordinator.

The job responsibilities include providing support for mission ministries, church planting, and administration. Applicants should have administrative experience, computer literacy, proficiency in written & spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), enthusiasm for mission work, basic accounting and financial management experience, and a spirit of teamwork. Hilda will be on home leave and available from April 15th to May 26th to share about her work in Asia with children with disabilities who have experienced abandonment.
